The fruit here is super cheap but make sure to eat it in a couple of days or so. I usually go here if I'm having a party because it's a great deal. For everyday stuff it's worth it to get something you'll eat right away, but you might not want to stock up because the produce will start to spoil.

Whole Foods is hands-down my favorite grocery store in Chicago. You can always find fresh, organic produce and excellent quality healthy food. The employees in the store are outstanding--always helpful and ready to answer questions or offer suggestions. If I had a million dollars, I'd do all my shopping there! Even though some of their prices can be high, it's worth it! It's for your health!

I like whole foods market. They have a lot of specialty organic foods whicih is hard to find at a Jewel or Domincks. I do have to admit that their prices are a bit high compared to other stores, but this is the price you have to pay for organics. They have a great dessert section too.

This place is one of my favorites in Chicago for a gourmet breakfast or lunch. I have tried almost everything on the menu and all are excellent. Be prepared to wait - the very small kitchen means entrees take a while to come out but it is worth it.

This store carries a number of non-caloric protein powders and drinks. They also have some single packs and cans so you can taste test before buying a big container. The owner and staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. I have comparison shopped and could not find a lower price on anything they stock, nor could I find as many products in any other one location.
